On February 4, 11, 18, and 25 of
2009 (Black History Month) The Milwaukee office of the
Ethiopia Africa Black International Congress sponsored a
Nyahbinghi Seminar for the 5th and 6th grade
students of the Milwaukee Woodlands Charter School under
the direction of its music teacher Hon. Brian Charboneau.
The Ambassador of the E.A.B.I.C. Hon. Prophet Moambeh
was invited to teach three classes of Nyabinghi music
and the Spiritual Culture it represents for the four days
of the month.

The first class was an introduction to the Bobo Shanty
Spiritual Order with its culture and customs the next two
classes were based on hands Nyahbinghi rhythms and the use
of the shakers to direct the Daniel No. 1 Band which
included the singing and chanting of four choruses and one hymn.

The fourst class was a video, arts and craft exhibition with a
question and answer segment. The Honorable Prophet Enoc,
visiting Ambassador from Mexico assisted the last
class with clap hand and singing as well as the pictures taken.

The classes were a great success as the student were very
interested and learned more than what was expected. The
Honorable Prophet Moambeh has been invited for future classes
at the school and other teachers from other schools through Mr.
Charboneau are interested in the cultural Nyahbinghi
seminar.
